Janet and Alex – Greensboro, NC

Janet and Alex were married last weekend in Greensboro, NC. I had a great time documenting their special day! Janet is such a positive person and just so beautiful! Despite the rain, we managed to shoot outside for a few minutes and I was so pleased with the results. Best wishes for Janet and Alex! Hope you are relaxing on the honeymoon. :)

I love this whole series of dancing shots… I see where Janet gets her smile!

The favors were little rosebud vases… too pretty!

This is by far the funniest “dance off” I’ve ever witnessed….

Janet’s married!

Which means…. I can finally post a few from her bridal portrait session! She is a gorgeous girl with a personality that I love! She drove in from Greensboro for her session and of course, it was raining when she arrived… After waiting it out, I loved the sky and the light that resulted from the storm. Stay tuned for pictures from the wedding….it was a fun night!  :)

Ashleigh – all smiles

I had permission from Ashleigh to post a few of her bridal portraits from our recent session, in fact, she was sooo excited about it! This girl had no issue with being natural or fun in front of the camera. Loved it!

Oh, and how fun to have her entire family at the shoot! Seriously, I have never had so many come to a bridal session… I hope they didn’t think I was too crazy? Thanks for driving all that way for the session. It was a blast!

Pretty Ana

Some kiddos just shine! Ana is one of those that can just engage you for hours… I loved our short session at my house.  *sigh* i just adore girls!

  • Thank you so much for allowing Ana to be your model!! I love all the photos that you took of her. She really enjoyed her session!!

My Dirty Boys :)

I haven’t shared any of my kiddos in a while… Owen turns 7 next week and it was time for a mini-mommy session.  After 10 minutes, they were done. I will take what I get with these two!

Gwen and Jason – Lake Lure, NC

Short. Sweet. and sooo much Fun! I loved everything about Gwen and Jason’s wedding! Gwen contacted me over a year ago to book her date, however, I only recently met with her in person…

Gwen told me that this would not be a traditional wedding… more, an experience for everyone. There would be no dancing, just a “RockBand Wii” reception. Okay, so that is my kinda wedding!

Gwen and Jason met each other early that morning for pictures before the noon ceremony. I really had no idea how much fun we would have…

somebody is a math teacher….

I love that Jason’s girls know all the lyrics to “The Final Countdown”

my favorite kinda ending to a very hot day!

  • Katy, we are ecstatic about the pictures, and we can’t wait to see the rest. Thank you so much for letting us be ourselves on our wedding day. We could not have had a better photographer.

    Gwen & Jason

  • LOVE THESE!!! Lake Lure is such an awesome place for a wedding!!! So glad you got to go back! :) Congrats to the Bride and Groom!

Sweet Austin

I recently took photos of one of the sweetest boys, Austin. His mother, Jennifer, contacted me a few months back about photographing her little man.  Austin is a 3 year old with a condition known as Fragile X Syndrome. We both agreed that an outdoor setting was exactly what Austin needed and I felt we could get some awesome shots… He did amazing! Here are a few from our session at the Botanical Gardens in Asheville.

Jayme and Cole – Jamaica

I have so many things I could say about this couple. I’ve adored them from our first meeting… Jayme and I met while I was photographing her nephew and we hit it off instantly!  A year later, she was planning her wedding and decided that she really just wanted to go to Jamaica with her closest family and friends. However, she wanted amazing wedding photographs on her big day…(Enter me) I was thrilled to shoot the wedding and drag my hubby along!

Needless to say, we had an wonderful time. There are too many moments to try and put into words, so here we go with the images. Enjoy the sneak peek!

Location: Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Resort: Couples Tower Isle

Dress: Maggie Sottero

Jayme looked so calm and gorgeous!

love this shot that Marc took… Jayme fondly nick-named him “Marky Mark” :)

Everyone was in tears during Brandi’s speech.

after group formals at the bar… it was time for Jayme to take a shot…

We went all over the resort for photographs…

Okay, so the shot above and left is the exact shot I’m taking below… kinda funny. :)

I was super excited to shoot at this incomplete mansion construction across the street….

The girls helped Jayme with her dress after the shoot…

Meanwhile, the guys chilled out with Cubans…

The night never really ended… but, I will stop here for now. ;)

-Love to Jayme and Cole.
