Meg and Chris – Raleigh Wedding

I loved everything about this wedding! The dress, the venue, the decor, but, mostly the couple. I met Meg and Chris at a wedding I shot last year and was so excited when they chose me as their wedding photographer. These two are die hard ECU Pirate fans. Needless to say, the pic below is from their engagement session and there was a little ECU theme.

So, it is pretty much a photographer’s dream when you have 3 hours to shoot in downtown Raleigh… (well, at least for me it is!) The ceremony was held at 2:30 which allowed for plenty of time for photos before the 6pm cocktail hour. The entire bridal party came with us and we had a blast! After that, it was on to the coolest venue ever, The North Carolina Museum of History. I had no idea you could hold receptions at this location? It was gorgeous.

Special thanks to the Ryan family for making me feel so at home. I loved every moment.

I loved the dress… and how fun to meet Anna with Traditions by Anna. She was there to help with the dress and Meg looked amazing. Ironically, my Raleigh bride from 2 weeks prior, used the same shop!

Mandy and Michael – Engagement session

Mandy and Michael drove all the way from Atlanta, Ga for their engagement session. I had a blast with them… we basically went all over McDowell county. Mandy is from the area, so it seemed fitting.

I am looking forward to the wedding in October! Such a gorgeous couple…

Adria and Daniel – Raleigh Wedding

Adria and Daniel have been planning this day for a long time…. It is always a pleasure to see the couple through the whole day.

I think my favorite thing about this wedding was all the emotion. Not a dry eye and I loved it! Adria looked gorgeous and couldn’t stop smiling the entire night. Daniel had a relaxed cool about him and went with the flow about everything I suggested.

The reception was held at one of my all time favorite venues, The Capital City Club, in downtown Raleigh, NC. I’m never hurting for shot ideas there. Special thanks to my hubby who is the best! Also, thanks to Joy with A Joyful Occasion for seeing us through a beautiful day! Enjoy a few sneak peek images….

I’m so behind on blogging! I’ve been traveling so much the past two weeks… I’m half surprised my kids still know me..

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous bride, Megan. I’m shooting her wedding in October in Raleigh. She was so sweet and endured the heat with unbelievable grace… and the help of a portable (battery powered) fan. I shared these earlier on facebook… enjoy!

David and Kristyn – Lake Tahoma

Janet and Alex – Greensboro, NC

Janet and Alex were married last weekend in Greensboro, NC. I had a great time documenting their special day! Janet is such a positive person and just so beautiful! Despite the rain, we managed to shoot outside for a few minutes and I was so pleased with the results. Best wishes for Janet and Alex! Hope you are relaxing on the honeymoon.

I love this whole series of dancing shots… I see where Janet gets her smile!

The favors were little rosebud vases… too pretty!

Which means…. I can finally post a few from her bridal portrait session! She is a gorgeous girl with a personality that I love! She drove in from Greensboro for her session and of course, it was raining when she arrived… After waiting it out, I loved the sky and the light that resulted from the storm. Stay tuned for pictures from the wedding….it was a fun night! :)

Ashleigh – all smiles

I had permission from Ashleigh to post a few of her bridal portraits from our recent session, in fact, she was sooo excited about it! This girl had no issue with being natural or fun in front of the camera. Loved it!

Oh, and how fun to have her entire family at the shoot! Seriously, I have never had so many come to a bridal session… I hope they didn’t think I was too crazy? Thanks for driving all that way for the session. It was a blast!

Gwen and Jason – Lake Lure, NC

Short. Sweet. and sooo much Fun! I loved everything about Gwen and Jason’s wedding! Gwen contacted me over a year ago to book her date, however, I only recently met with her in person…

Gwen told me that this would not be a traditional wedding… more, an experience for everyone. There would be no dancing, just a “RockBand Wii” reception. Okay, so that is my kinda wedding!

Gwen and Jason met each other early that morning for pictures before the noon ceremony. I really had no idea how much fun we would have…

Jayme and Cole – Jamaica

I have so many things I could say about this couple. I’ve adored them from our first meeting… Jayme and I met while I was photographing her nephew and we hit it off instantly! A year later, she was planning her wedding and decided that she really just wanted to go to Jamaica with her closest family and friends. However, she wanted amazing wedding photographs on her big day…(Enter me) I was thrilled to shoot the wedding and drag my hubby along!

Needless to say, we had an wonderful time. There are too many moments to try and put into words, so here we go with the images. Enjoy the sneak peek!
