Asheville Baby Photographer – The Hornthal Family
I’m so in love with this early spring…. okay, I might not be a fan of the pollen that has invaded my home, but, it does provide perfect weather for a session like this one. 
I spent Saturday afternoon with the Hornthal family (3 boys) and loved every minute. I can relate to the 3 boy thing now and I hope and pray that my boys are as well mannered as Will and Alex. Seriously, I’ve never heard someone say “yes, maam” more in my life. And, of course, sweet baby Ashe won me over with his full head of red hair and toothy grin.
NC Baby Photographer – Hannah 3 months
Such a sweetie! It’s not often a 3 month session will go this well… we went a full hour and no tears. Hannah is a natural in front of the camera and those baby blues? Loving them.
NC Maternity Session – Amy and Nate
I have said it before and I will say it again… I love my brides having babies! It is always a thrill to be part of the wedding day – but, amazing to see the life coming from that union. Corny? perhaps, but, i don’t care. I love babies.

Asheville Family Photographer – The Soto Family
The Soto family is one easy family to photograph! JP is an aspiring photographer and we had a good vision for what he wanted… I’m pretty sure he’s pumped with the facebook preview. It was great to see little Marcello again. I cannot believe he is sooo big – I haven’t seen him since our newborn session. It makes me realize how quickly my own baby boy is growing…

It definitely feels like spring with all these babies! Latisha called me last week to announce the birth of her second son… I feel like it was just yesterday that I photographed her 2 year old, Stephen. I’ve posted a few from his session for fun.
And… a few of older brother Stephen. He is so big now, it’s fun to look back…
Asheville Children’s Photographer – “White is Bright” mini-sessions
So, ya know how things can get a bit overwhelming and you tend to push them to the side (for later)… that’s what I keep doing with my blog – and- it’s not fair. I’m so spoiled by the immediate gratification of Facebook (I like “likes”) AND now there is Pinterest. (Don’t get me started on this new found addiction…) it is just so hard to keep up with all the social media “stuff”… Sooooo, instead of trying to catch up on blogging – I’m gonna start posting current (in the now) sessions and catch up the older sessions and weddings here and there. Maybe, it is not the most organized approach, but, it’s progress. So in the next few months – please excuse the sporadic posts and bear with me.
February is typically a slower time of the year for me and I was eager to photograph some kiddos. It was also about time for some mini-sessions. I struggled with a theme… and, then it hit me. WHITE. A blank canvas. What could be better? It also gave me the opportunity to play and get creative. The deal was simple. The mini-session was complimentary – I just asked parents to bring their children to the studio in all white and leave the rest to me. The result was amazing! Seriously, I had a blast and I think most of the kids had fun too… 
I’ve shared many of these of facebook and it may be a repeat for some – but, this is me trying… so, Yeah Katy! Hope you enjoy these. Some of the expressions are priceless.

Asheville Child Photographer – Ella and the Piano…
I can never get enough of sweet Ella. We’ve had our moments of tears during sessions – but, I think I have grown on her a bit… I love my baby planners.

I love watching my kid clients grow up! I can’t believe Caroline is 2 already? I swear I just did her newborn session and yet – here we are. I loved all the eye-contact – not an easy task with this age.
Wilmington Child Photographer – Portrait Party Fun
Playing catch up on some blogging. Right before the baby was born, my sister hosted a portrait party in Wilmington, NC. We had a blast and these kids were so adorable. I love the weather in Wilmington…. I think they only have a few months of real cold…nothing like the 70′s in October.
Little Switzerland Wedding Photographer – Megan and Matt
Megan and Matt were married in Little Switzerland, NC…and if you haven’t been there – you are missing some of the best Mountain views in all of Western, NC. I loved that Megan wanted to include several of her students (she’s a school teacher) in the wedding. Aren’t they the cutest kiddos?
