Tres Boudoir is coming to Raleigh, NC

Katy Cook. Where have you been??? I’m hearing that a lot these days… :) Okay, so I will admit to being a little absent, but, so many great things have been happening and needless to say, I’ve been busy.  Not to mention, my first and foremost job : MOMMYHOOD, keeps me quite consumed.  Owen started the 2nd grade and Cole, my three year old is officially home with me full-time, so yeah. Busy. :)

Which is why I’m up at 5:49am.  I’m taking a quick minute to update my blog and maybe answer an e-mail or two. :)

Anyway, on to the big announcement!  We just wrapped up our first Tres Boudoir tour with great success! So much so, that we immediately started receiving inquiries on when and where the next one might be held.  Well, after much consideration,  it’s official! Our next tour date is NOVEMBER 13TH in RALEIGH, NC. We are so excited! I’m posting a few images from our first event this past Saturday. These are regular women… not models. Many are moms. :)   We provide makeup and hair on site to make you look your best… if you would like to receive more information you can contact us at: info@tresboudoir.com or of course e-mail/phone me: 828-442-0337 – katy_cook@charter.net.

P.S. our website is coming soon. Stay tuned!

AND… some product images….

Adria and Daniel – Raleigh Wedding

Adria and Daniel have been planning this day for a long time…. It is always a pleasure to see the couple through the whole day.

I think my favorite thing about this wedding was all the emotion. :) Not a dry eye and I loved it! Adria looked gorgeous and couldn’t stop smiling the entire night. Daniel had a relaxed cool about him and went with the flow about everything I suggested.

The reception was held at one of my all time favorite venues, The Capital City Club, in downtown Raleigh, NC. I’m never hurting for shot ideas there. :) Special thanks to my hubby who is the best! Also, thanks to Joy with A Joyful Occasion for seeing us through a beautiful day! Enjoy a few sneak peek images….

Anderson and Adam – Engagement session on the farm…

Anderson and Adam are the sweetest couple! I loved that Anderson wanted to shoot their engagement session on her family farm. This farm has been in the family for  years and it provided so many photographic opportunities! I was like a kid in a candy store.  Not to mention, this couple is absolutely gorgeous. I don’t think I could take a bad picture of them? :) Here is a quick sneak peek from last week’s session.

McDowell Mini-sessions…

Talk about an overwhelming response! :) I was so happy to shoot 10 mini-sessions recently for my local community. Can I just say, I love my town! I did this promotion as a thank you to my recent vote for “best photographer” for the third year running…

Truly, I wish I could have fit in more time slots and who knew it would book in just 4 hours? To everyone that came out and supported me… thank you from the bottom of my heart. Wow! It was hot. Wow! what cute kids?

I am in love with all of the following pics! Here are just a few… Enjoy!

Atlanta Sessions

I had such a great time in Atlanta last weekend! Lots of cute kiddos to photograph and a chance to hang out with my sister… good times.  It was also a welcome break from my computer.  Instead of an individual post for each session, I’m just gonna put them all in one nice big post! Enjoy! First up: The Wentz boys…

next up… Lila and her brothers

and last but not least… sweet Parker (loved the urban feel)

Have a great weekend!

Newborn Ella

I love photographing newborns! So sweet and innocent…

I also adore my clients.  Katie contacted me after the birth to photograph miss Ella and I just had to fit her in the schedule. I’ve worked with her in the past and look forward to each session. How much fun was it to see big sister, Caroline, as well! Here are a few from our session last week. I love the little rolls!

Love this! On the left: Ella and on the right: Caroline two years ago…

Megan’s Bridal in Raleigh…

I’m so behind on blogging!  I’ve been traveling so much the past two weeks… I’m half surprised my kids still know me.. :)

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous bride, Megan. I’m shooting her wedding in October in Raleigh. She was so sweet and endured the heat with unbelievable grace… and the help of a portable (battery powered) fan. I shared these earlier on facebook… enjoy!

David and Kristyn – Lake Tahoma

Love them so much! David and Kristyn are married and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve known these two for years and I feel almost like an older sister… Sorry so delayed in the post… I am about to blog a million things! :) Stay tuned!
