Maternity Session…baby soon to arrive :)
Okay, so what’s up with all you skinny preggos? Seriously. I wish I carried the way you can…I was more like a beached whale… On Wednesday, I shot this beautiful maternity session and then on Thursday I had lunch with my pregnant friend who also was amazing in appearance. Darn.
Oh well.
Latisha, you are absolutely gorgeous! I had a great time meeting you and can’t wait for our newborn session!

i don’t think the “current” baby of the house liked me?
introducing our newest family member… :)
Amedeus.
We adopted a 3 year old Ragdoll cat and couldn’t be happier! We’ve had him a month and he is just another member of the family. Honestly, he is more like a dog than a cat. He greets us at the door and never leaves my side. Here are a few pics.:) For anyone who thinks they are not a “cat” person, he would surely change your mind!

Gage – 3 months
Oh no…this little man is so cute! Warning!
I just love watching babies grow…it goes by too fast! Gage is 3 months and developing quite the personality! I just adore his big blue eyes. So precious. Julie- he is going to be such a looker!
The first couple of images…he was all about eye contact, but, I couldn’t get a good smile…

this is more like it!

Kristyn and the Bear… Local Engagement session. :)
I learned a thing or two during this fun Marion engagement session!
1) Kristyn has no problem laughing on command…she couldn’t stop laughing the whole time.
2) David is very easy going. I had a time teasing him and calling him “Bear”, which I secretly think he liked.
3) These two are very sweet together.
Thanks to you both for the fun time! I loved getting to know you better as a couple. Here is a quick sneak peek.
Best! ~ Katy

Elizabeth and JP… Coldest Wedding Ever…. :)
January 2nd…what a magical wedding for both Elizabeth and JP. I had a great time getting to know them and their entire family. This was a destination wedding for almost all who came. Some as far as Norway and Afghanistan. I don’t think anyone counted on such a cold day, but, we managed.
I can’t believe how happy Elizabeth was in 12 degree temps and a strapless gown!
Elizabeth and JP wanted to see each other before the wedding and drive around downtown Asheville for pictures. My assistant and I treated them both to a much needed coffee break mid-session. I’ll admit, I needed a warm-up drink too!
We drove on to the Asheville School Chapel for the ceremony and then off to The Crest Center for the reception. The centerpieces by Enchanted Florist were so unique and complimented the venue perfectly! It was truly a magical evening!
Special thanks to Kerri for braving the cold with me! Much love girl.

i love this moment between friends…

seeing one another for the first time…

so gorgeous!!!

trying to keep warm.

I loved that they cut the cake with a sabor!

Elizabeth and JP, my best to the both of you! ~ Katy
Elizabeth and JP – Rehearsal dinner at The Grove Park Inn
Okay, so a little birdie told me that I’m not blogging enough lately, and it’s true. With the boys out of school for Christmas break and moving homes during a blizzard…. it’s been kinda hard to keep up.
That said, here we go! What a wonderful start to 2010! I loved this couple. Elizabeth and JP have such a beautiful love. Both have served and worked overseas in Afghanistan. There is actually so many amazing things this couple have done… however, I think finding one another is by far the most incredible experience and story! More to come when I post the wedding…
I hope you feel the warmth in these few images from the Rehearsal dinner at the Grove Park. It was soooo cold outside! The dinner was so relaxed and the food…yummy! I loved getting a chance to photograph the couple in front of the fireplace.
Here is to an awesome 2010! Cheers~
