Biltmore Estate Wedding

What a week! I can’t believe it’s friday and I’ve yet to post this beautiful wedding from Saturday! There is a reason… my computer crashed Monday. Talk about stress. Thank goodness I’ve always backed up my files, but sheesh! I couldn’t edit this week and it’s been driving me bonkers. It was with much reluctance, but I’ve finally made the switch to Mac and I’ll admit…it’s pretty awesome! I have so many photog friends who will be pleased i’m leaving the PC behind… ;)

Anyway, this wedding was beautiful. Biltmore Estate is one of the most beautiful venues and the weather was perfect! I loved every minute.

Misti and John had booked me while they were living in Iraq. I was so happy to meet them and document their day. It was an intimate wedding of no more than 30 people. I also shot in the Wine Cellar for the first time and that was an experience. The flowers and decor were by Stacy at the Bloom Room….always beautiful.

this shot was kinda cool…we were driving around the estate in their “mini” and I was in the back…

We had the Estate to ourselves… :)

*sigh* there is so much more I want to post…but, I’m off to Charleston, SC. Back on Monday and more sessions to post. Have a wonderful weekend! – Katy

I’m back!

I’ve had a great vacation with my boys and I’m feeling rested. :) I had so much fun last week…just chilling out.

Yesterday, I got a chance to photograph little man Collin again. This cutie has changed so much in just two short months. He was so happy and animated. I love the seventh month. Babies are so much fun!

He was so loving with mommy!

Session right up the street from me…. :)

2 years ago I was jogging with Cole in the stroller downtown and I met Marian. She was having a yard sale and we talked a bit about my services and possibly scheduling a session. Fast forward to present day and here we are… I had the pleasure of photographing her lovely children on Saturday. The cool thing is I had been in that home before! The previous owners are dear family friends. In fact, my bridal luncheon was held there. ;) Small world. Here are a few from our session.

Richard had no problem in front of the camera…

Sister was a bit shy, but I love this shot below!!!

I can’t tell you how pleased I am with just the few pics you posted.  They are all so GOOD!

I am going to have such a hard time deciding what to pick. Thank you again, Marian

Owen’s first baseball game… my kids.

I haven’t posted about my daily life in a while… I’ll admit, it’s been crazy. We’ve been consumed with putting the house on the market, my schedule, and now Owen is playing baseball! So much fun! We had a blast on Monday watching him play his first game. Seriously, it was like watching an episode of the Bad News Bears… we laughed and cheered non-stop for two hours. Below, Owen is giving me a thumbs up…

Cole was ready to watch his brother play!

My son has no problem showing his excitement!

Cole thought it was fun to steal my drink….

Dana has more than a cat now! :)

Dana’s first “baby” was a little jealous.
