What do you get when….

you get a bunch of photographers together? Crazy and creative fun! The girls from The Nine came to my house and we had a “shoot out” for our dear friend, Dana. Dana is due with her baby in March and we are all so excited! We decided to throw her a surprise baby shower too, and I was more than eager to act as hostess. (or at least attempt) ;) I was sad that a 3rd of the nine couldn’t be there, but I had placecards made for them on the table. You were there in spirit girls! The following pics are from our baby shower/maternity session. I had a great time just seeing how we all shoot! Lots of pics to follow.

I made these place cards the night before… :) And the diaper cake below… :)

Honour set up this shot with one of my furs I use for kid shoots… very original! Here she is metering her light. f8 at a 30th if I remember correctly. :)

um… “hey, Honour!”

i got this shot below from the cool rug setup.

in between takes…

and here’s another shot I got of the two of them. :)

Wednesday Wedding – Homewood

This was such a relaxing wedding! Jill and Andrew decided to come to Asheville and marry… just the two of them. I was thrilled to be a part of their day! I was so excited to serve as a witness as well… I got to sign the wedding certificate…not one of my normal duties. :) The wedding took place at Homewood. I love shooting there! I hope you both had a wonderful week in our town!

it’s me…. signing the wedding certificate… thanks to Tara for taking the pic. :)

Okay this pic is too funny… here we all are… the “wedding party” ;)

Sorry Andrew… I had to put this in… love it!

Trish and Blake – Love in downtown Asheville.

I have so much posting to catch up on… my boys have been sick this week and it’s put me back a bit…First up is the lovely Trish and her fiance’ Blake. I shot their engagement session in downtown Asheville and then we drove out to the UNCA Botanical gardens to finish. I have to say, my favorite part was our time at Sante’ Wine Bar. Thanks for the fun time and I’m so glad the weather was working for us!

I LOVE THESE BOOTS! :)

Waiting on baby… :)

This lovely couple are waiting to meet their little one…due the first week in March! I can’t believe they have the patience to wait and find out the sex of the baby until the big day! I just had to know with both of my boys. ;) That said, I’m so excited to find out and meet this little kiddo! Liz, remember to take it easy and enjoy these last few moments with your hubby. ;)

this is too funny! we attempted some pictures with the kitties, but they were not in to it!

The Noonan Kids – Chateau Elan session

I love these kids! It’s been so long since I saw them last. I was thrilled when their mom suggested the Chateau Elan for the session. I’ve always wanted to shoot there. It ended up being a gorgeous day in the 60′s…not bad for February. I want to thank Connor, Parker, and Peyton for the awesome time! Can’t wait to see you this summer. :)

so much energy! I loved it!

running through the vineyard…

cuddle time with mom. :)

You are AMAZING!!! These are awesome and I can’t wait to see them all. We did have a fun day and I think it showed:)

Baby Brady… newborn session

Okay, this little guy did not want to sleep! It was really quite humorous… Thanks to the entire Blake family for their extreme patience. ;) I knew he would fall asleep eventually. ;) Also, I can’t believe you guys drove from Tennessee! That is hard to do with a newborn! All my best!

I love this shot above…he was just hanging out…no sleeping. ;) Notice the hairdryer in the background…I always use one when shooting newborns…keeps them so calm and relaxed. Then below..there I am…just waiting on little guy.

Audrey is two… :)

I can’t believe little Audrey is two. I feel like I just did her one year pics! She was so full of energy and wanted to dance the entire session! I loved it! Here is a little glimpse…

I had to lay on the ground for this one….

i loved this shot above… we had to take a snack break and Audrey sat and peeled an entire orange by herself. ;) I love how she just tossed the peels on the floor!

What a sweet note…

I love it when I receive hand-written thank you cards… It is so thoughtful and shows how sincere some people are… honestly, i wish i was better about writing thank yous.

I just wanted to share one I received today. It made my day.
