just keep swimming, swimming, swimming….

*sigh* this phrase keeps going through my head….

My youngest, Cole, is obsessed with Finding Nemo. He loves to watch it on a daily basis. As we sat there cuddling in bed last night, my thoughts were elsewhere. I’m a little overwhelmed with work right now. So many sessions, so little time. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my job! I’m just behind in editing right now and I don’t like that feeling. It means more time in front of the computer and less time with my Nemo obsessed little man. I’m sure we all get like this, especially around the holidays…. there is always something.

The funny thing is, Cole snapped me out of it. ;) His favorite part, where Dori is singing the song ” Just keep Swimming” came on and I just laughed so hard! That is my new phrase for this month. JUST KEEP SWIMMING. :) Thanks to my little man for keeping me afloat. :)

and next up….. sleepy baby

Okay, I had a sweet session with this little guy, although, at 4 months… photos can be a hard thing to stay awake for.

this last one is so funny! We were just starting the session and he passed out! Too sweet. So, I decided to take advantage of that fact and get some sleeping shots….

needless to say… this session is to be continued. ;)

Jill – Bridal session in Charlotte, NC

Shooting in downtown Charlotte was so much fun! We had a beautiful day and Jill was so fun and easygoing! I loved the idea of an urban bridal session. Enjoy the glimpse of our evening. ;)

Kelly and Erik – Richmond, VA

I love Richmond, VA! I had not visited before this wedding and I loved every minute. What a fun and diverse town! I also had not met the couple I had the pleasure of photographing on Sept. 27th. So much fun! I love to travel to new places. In this first shot or two below, the MOB did so much for her daughter and the bridesmaids. :) She dyed the shoes and made the earrings herself!

proud mom looking at her daughter in “the dress” :)

the groom had some fancy footwork going on…

the cake cutting started out innocent enough….

it got a little crazy…

I’ve never seen anything like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

girls had to fix the dress after the cake fiasco!

Linen

This little girl is excited about Halloween! She had so much fun showing me everything related to the holiday. We had a fun time jumping on the bed too!

Jennifer, keep me posted on the baby, hope you don’t have to wait much longer. ;)

Christian – almost 2!

Tiffany, I know we didn’t get much in the way of smiles, but, i love his solemn expressions. ;)

Nicole and Ryal – Raleigh Wedding

Nicole and Ryal made this job easy! What a fun couple to work with! I knew from our first meeting, we would have so much fun and I’ve been looking forward to shooting this wedding for so long! ;) They are so in love! They met during an interview… Nicole interviewed Ryal for a job. He got the job and the girl. How sweet! We shot in several locations throughout the day… United Methodist, downtown Raleigh, and the Capital City Club.

I need to thank my assistant, Katherine Fallis! You did a great job! Also, much thanks to Nicole with Something Borrowed. http://www.somethingborrowedsomethingblue.com/ The day went so smoothly! ;)

the pretty bridesmaids…

the guys…

the dress… (Vera Wang) Nicole referred to her dress as “Vera” throughout the day.

We went to a bar first… to loosen up before shooting the wedding party pics.

which is why i had no problem convincing them to pose in the parking garage..

this shot below was so fun! We were shooting when a bus drove buy… love it!

this is right before Nicole dropped the cake on the table. ;)

the bride’s adoring father… these two have a special relationship.
